Week 1 and 2: The Playlist

My journey so far as told by my Instagram story playlist (plus a few more yet to make it to the story):

Adicto
Tainy, Anual AA, Ozuna

I have no idea what it's about, but it is a suitably Spanish song to have got me in the mood for the move.

Senorita
Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello

A summer tune that has adopted a completely different meaning since leaving home. A Spanish barman saying "Hola senorita," before pouring you an aesthetically pleasing, dangerously alcoholic Margarita has a completely different effect to a slightly too confident British barman thinking he's being cute as he oafishly slams your pint in front of you before stating "£3.30 then Bab."

My House
Flo Rida

Despite being an official adult with a proper, grown-up job, I did have to have a little moment of showing off with a video of the view from my balcony... I know... my balcony.

How did that happen?

After Dark
Tito & Tarantula

As I walked around the city on my first solo exploration on my second night, this was the song going through my head as I saw the city come to life around me.

Starships
Nicki Minaj

Purely added for the first line: "Let's got to the beach."

Another childish gloat just to rub in the fact that - while I'm was spending my Saturday tanning on the beach - it was pouring down with rain at home, seemingly to the point where it might be a good idea to invest in a canoe.

Oxford Comma
Vampire Weekend

The only tune I could think of to slightly reflect (and remind myself) why I am here in the first place - to teach the lovely people of Spain about the good ol' Oxford comma.

Head Over Feet
Alanis Morissette

Just my current belter.

Let's just say that my flatmates are getting a bit sick of the banshee that sings this while I'm in the shower. However, my "tuneful" wailing must have done the tune some justice because I am now not the only one humming it around the house.
